Sitting at the foot of the Campsie Fells, this beautifully maintained parkland golf course offers a challenge to even the most experienced golfer.
The 18 hole course works its way above the picturesque village of Lennoxtown, and offers stunning views over the surrounding areas.
The nature of the slopes, and the tricky greens ensure that at no time can you take a hole for granted,
and attention will have to be paid at all times to keep your score down.
But the beauty is that scores take second place to the fun, and clever design of the course.
You will have to draw on every club, and conjure up many new shots to tackle this course.
You will leave with a feeling of golf satisfaction because this is how golf should be played !
Club History :-
Willie Auchterlonie, who in 1893 was the last home-based Scot to have won the Open Championship,
has another claim to fame. The St Andrean also designed the original 9 hole Campsie course at Lennoxtown for the no expense spared fee of five guineas,
and admiring his own work afterwards, he remarked that it had the makings of one of the best inland courses in Scotland.
